In our ongoing quest to develop innovative and sustainable solutions in the energy and water industry, our team recently visited Namibia. The trip not only gave us the opportunity to experience the country’s breathtaking scenery and warm hospitality, but also to gain deeper insights into the specific challenges the country is facing – particularly in the area of power supply.
Decentralized power supply is becoming increasingly important in Africa. We are proud that our HygO project can make a significant contribution in this area. HygO, an innovative project in collaboration with renowned partners Texulting GmbH, Fraunhofer IWU, HAVER & BOECKER OHG and Krenkel Abwassertechnik GmbH, aims to develop sustainable solutions for the energy and water problems in Namibia and other African countries. This project addresses not only the storage of renewable energy, but also the treatment of water.
During our stay, we had the privilege of visiting the Cooperative Education Unit of the Namibia University of Science and Technology and the Daures Green Hydrogen Village. Valuable discussions with leading experts such as Lutz-Heiner Otto, Willem-Daniel van Dyk, James Katende, Jerome Namaseb, Samuel John and WCE Consulting Engineers strengthened our conviction that a sustainable future is possible.
For more information about the HygO project, we invite you to contact us. Also follow the companies and professionals mentioned above to stay up to date. We would like to thank NOW GmbH, Zukunft – Umwelt – Gesellschaft (ZUG) gGmbH and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) for their tireless support.
Together we can make a significant contribution to a sustainable future.
