We are delighted to announce a ground-breaking partnership in the renewable energy sector that will set new standards in the energy industry.
As part of the HygO project funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), our project partners are doing remarkable pioneering work in the research and development of hydrogen technologies in Namibia.
Together with Texulting GmbH, Krenkel Abwassertechnik GmbH, HAVER & BOECKER OHG and Fraunhofer IWU, we recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Windhoek. This landmark agreement marks a significant step forward in our endeavor to advance renewable energy and hydrogen technologies in Namibia.
Our collaboration focuses on three key areas:
- Pioneering research on hydrogen-based energy storage: we are committed to developing innovative solutions for energy storage through hydrogen. This is a critical aspect to fully exploit the potential of renewable energy sources in Namibia and to optimize the energy supply.
- Scientific exchange and high-profile conferences: We are committed to promoting regular scientific conferences and facilitating the exchange of ground-breaking research findings. This paves the way for a lively exchange of ideas and knowledge between our experts and NUST.
- Nurturing future talent through student exchanges: Our commitment goes beyond research – we are also shaping the future by nurturing the next generation of talent. We look forward to facilitating student exchanges between our organizations and providing young talent with valuable experience in the field of renewable energy and hydrogen technologies.
This partnership is a transformative step in our journey to develop sustainable energy solutions for Namibia and beyond. We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and look forward to the journey together with NUST and our valued project partners.
