Texulting GmbH is pleased to accompany the Hasso Plattner d-school Africa at the University of Cape Town as part of its prestigious Foundation Program in Design Thinking. This year, the fifteenth cohort took part in a ten-week journey to explore real-life challenges in South African farming communities.
Working with partners such as the HyTrA consortium and the Goedgedacht Trust, the program focused on improving access to clean energy. The participants, divided into diverse teams and mentored by dedicated coaches, presented impressive innovative solutions:
- Team Jamzes presented a specially designed water tank that enables reliable energy production.
- Fantastic 4our designed a comprehensive training program for farm workers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Innovation Nation aimed to simplify technical jargon by developing a user-friendly website for farmers.
- Gratitude Galaxies developed an innovative app to support maintenance workers in their daily work.
These projects show how design thinking methods can be applied to develop practical and sustainable solutions to complex challenges. We are proud to be part of this transformative program and invite you to learn more about the impact and solutions these talented minds have created.
