As part of the annual meeting of the Export Initiative for Environmental Protection (EXI) of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), leading implementers from various projects came together in Berlin today. This meeting provided an excellent opportunity to discuss green hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in decentralized energy supply.
Organized by NOW GmbH, this first networking meeting served as a unique platform for the exchange and development of synergies between international projects. Experts from various countries, including Ghana, India, Namibia, South Africa and Jordan, shared their experiences and findings from pilot projects and studies. A special focus was placed on the EXI projects of the Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) from Brazil, Chile, Thailand, the Philippines, New Zealand and Ghana.
In their welcoming addresses, Nilgün Parker, Head of Division for Sustainable Finance Policy, Environment and Foreign Trade Promotion at the BMUV, and Sabine Ziem-Milojević, Team Leader International Energy Concepts at NOW, emphasized the importance of GreenTech solutions for sustainable global development. The meeting underlined the need to create suitable framework conditions and infrastructures for the application of these technologies.
The meeting impressively demonstrated how international cooperation and the commitment of SMEs and AHKs can support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
A big thank you goes to all participants who contributed to this successful meeting. Their work and commitment are crucial to promoting sustainable technologies and shaping a greener future.
