After two years of intensive work, we are pleased to announce a major breakthrough: The commissioning of our first innovative microgrid system in Africa. This event not only marks a milestone in our quest for sustainability, but is also symbolic of planting a tree – a sign of growth and hope.
The project is an impressive demonstration of how innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand. It represents the core values of our work: the provision of affordable, clean energy in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7, the creation of employment opportunities in Germany and Africa (SDG 8) and the promotion of education (SDG 4).
This microgrid system is a decisive step towards establishing decentralized, green energy systems. It contributes to economic, ecological and social development and demonstrates the potential of sustainable energy solutions. Our special thanks go to the Fraunhofer IWU, with whom we have built a strong bridge between Chemnitz and Africa.
We would also like to thank our partners and supporters: Alu-Cab, NOW GmbH, Zukunft – Umwelt – Gesellschaft (ZUG) gGmbH and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV). Their collaboration and support were crucial to the success of this project.
